Terms of service

These terms cover print orders placed through Mythical Layers 3D (Woodstock, Georgia, USA). Sending a quote request means you accept them. Last updated 11 September 2026.

1. Quotes and orders

The order form sends a quote request. Nothing is charged on the site. We reply by email with a firm price, the material and colours we will use, and a turnaround estimate.
The "estimated cost" shown on the form is a guide only. The emailed quote is the price, and it is valid for 14 days.
An order starts when you accept the quote. There is no deposit: once you accept the quote we email you a PayPal invoice, which you can pay with PayPal, a debit or credit card, or Venmo (in the US). We ship or hand over the build once it is paid.
We may decline any request, for example when the model's licence does not allow prints to be sold, when the model would not print reliably, or when the item is unlawful or unsafe.

2. Models, licences and your responsibility

You confirm that you have the right to have the model printed. Many free models are licensed for personal use only; we check the licence shown by the model's site and will not sell prints of models that forbid it.
When you send your own file, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it. You keep all rights to your design; we keep no copy after the order is complete unless you ask us to.
Printed items are copies of the designer's work made to your order. Design faults in the model itself are not our responsibility, but we will tell you if we spot one before printing.

3. Printing, quality and failed prints

Items are printed on FDM printers, so they show layer lines and small surface marks. Colours may differ slightly from screen images.
Failed prints are reprinted at our cost and do not delay your quoted price. If we cannot produce an acceptable print, you pay nothing for it and anything already paid is refunded in full.
Scale, infill and support settings are chosen by us for strength unless you ask for something specific in the notes.

4. Turnaround, shipping and pickup

Turnaround is quoted per order and counts from the day you accept the quote. Large or multi-colour orders take longer.
Shipped orders go by tracked post to the address on the order. Please check the address: we cannot recover parcels sent to a wrong address you gave us. Local pickup in Woodstock, GA is free by arrangement.
Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier accepts the parcel or when you collect it. Parcels that arrive damaged are replaced when you send photos within 7 days.

5. Refunds and cancellations

You may cancel before printing starts at no cost. Once printing has started, we may ask you to pay for the material and machine time already used.
Items with a defect in printing (not in the model's design) are reprinted or refunded, your choice, when reported with photos within 7 days of delivery.
Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

6. Nonprofit printing

Mythical Layers 3D is a for-profit shop. New nonprofit printing and sponsorship requests are handled separately by Print It Forward. Historical donation orders remain in our private records.
